The Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights, occuring in the night of 11 to 12 April 2001. This aurora was caused by a category G4 geomagnetic storm. The Netherlands were overcast with clouds, but they cleared just in time for me to witness a spectacular display of green, red and blueish rays of light reaching out to and past the zenith. Photo taken on April 11, 2001, near Wijdenes, The Netherlands.

Fuji Superia 800 film, exp. 30 sec. at f/2.8 with 28mm lens.
