The Maroon Bells near Aspen, Colorado, USA are a famous photography subject - the red hues of the rising sun on the snow-covered peaks, together with the fall-foliage colors of the trees draw numerous photographers to that area in fall. The Maroon Bells do not always color maroon, however - there shouldn't be too many clouds in the sky. A visit of several days will give a better guarantee to see the spectacular view.
