This gallery is intended to show how different states of water surfaces affect the mirroring of objects above the horizon. For perfectly still water, the mirroring is perfect; any slight rippling of the water surface will create a vertical smearing of the image, like the sun's glitter path. Not much perturbation of the water surface is required for the image to be completely washed out. Near-perfect mirroring in large bodies of water is relatively uncommon.
